Service Area

Laurens Commission of Public Works originated in the 1920s to provide electricity and water service to the people in our area. In the 1950s, our community established a natural gas system.

Today, we proudly provide our neighbors with electrical, water, wastewater, and natural gas utility services. Our electricity utility territory is primarily within the Laurens city limits and the Wattsville area. We provide water and wastewater/sewer service for the city of Laurens and surrounding areas. Our natural gas service expands to the greater Laurens area, too.

As always, Laurens CPW is citizen-created, locally owned, and not-for-profit: our customers influence and direct our municipal utility policies.
