Hunter Industrial Park Tax Rates
Corporations locating in South Carolina's Hunter Industrial
Park will be taxed at a rate of five percent of their net income derived from business activity within the state. South Carolina
has no state property tax on real or personal property (however, local taxes still apply).
In addition, other financial benefits of locating in Hunter Industrial
Park include:
- No inventory tax
- No intangibles tax
- No unitary tax on worldwide profits
- No sales tax on manufacturing production machinery, repair parts,
industrial electricity and fuels or materials that become part of the
finished product.
- No property or sales tax on pollution control equipment
- No value-added tax
- No wholesale tax
- Five-year jobs tax credit with a 15-year carry-forward with minimum of 10 new jobs
- A five-year exemption from property taxes (exemption does not apply to school taxes) for all new
manufacturing establishments investing $50,000 or more
- Negotiated fee-in-lieu of property taxes for companies which make a minimum capital investment of $5 million
