Although he holds the official title of office manager, one might think
James Buchanan works in public relations - not only for the CPW but for the entire community of Laurens. His cheerful demeanor, high
respect for co-workers, and dedication to the community has made him a welcome addition to the CPW staff.
Buck, as he is known around the CPW began working at the CPW in 1998. He says that through his job, he is
helping to make the

entire community a better place to live.
"The CPW provides a service that is needed - plain and simple. I like the fact that we can help our neighbors
have the best rates, the best service, and the reliability that they deserve," said Buchanan. In addition, Buck is proud to be part of an
organization that goes even further to help the community.
"I like working for a place that is active in community-minded projects including Community Change, our
economic development projects, and even Laurens Lights," said Buchanan.
"These things help make our community an incredible place to live and I'm glad I can do my part in making
these things happen."
